Filipino VALORANT players are making waves in the international scene: Patrick ‘PatMen’ Mendoza—who wowed the world with his aggressive ‘W Gaming’ with PaperRex at VCT Pacific Stage 2 Championship run, and his respectable 4th place finish at VALORANT Champions in Paris — has officially moved to Indian organization Global Esports.

PatMen is joined by fellow Filipino player Xavier ‘xavi8k’ Juan, who formerly bannered NAOS Esports. Xavi8k will also take on the leadership role at Global Esports, where he is the primary In-Game Leader. Xavi8k was a stalwart player with NAOS Esports who brought a lot of experience from the Philippine scene to his debut on the global stage, while PatMen made waves as a breakthrough Initiator player, even winning Rookie of the Year and Initiator of the Year during his time with PaperRex.
To make room for the new Pinoy duo, though, Global Esports had to drop Filipino Federico ‘PapiChulo’ Evangelista in December. PapiChulo was part of the initial Filipino signings for Global Esports late in 2024, alongside Kelly ‘KellyS’ Kent Sedillo and Mark ‘PatrickWHO’ Musni.
Meanwhile, former Team Secret player Adrian Jiggs ‘Invy’ Reyes will be moving to Paper Rex as PatMen’s replacement. Also an initiation player, Invy also managed to win fans in his time with Secret for his insane Sheriff eco rounds. Invy is expected to make his debut for Paper Rex in the VALORANT Radiant International Invitational in Fuzhou, China.
