
T1 once again silenced their doubters coming into KeSPA Cup after their surprise move to drop Worlds 2025 Finals MVP Lee ‘Gumayusi’ Min-hyung. Kim ‘Peyz’ Su-Hwan finally showed off his potential as he bagged the Finals MVP with a picture perfect performance to help T1 claim yet another trophy for their cabinet with a 3-2 victory.

Choi ‘Doran’ Hyeon-jun was the star of the show for T1 with his Renekton as he cleanly outdueled Choi ‘Zeus’ Woo-je’s Ambessa. The rotations caused Doran early on really disrupted Hanhwa Life Esports in the early game. Peyz capitalized on all the space with his Varus as he ended T1’s Game 1 win with a 3-1-5 record.
Game 2 was another dominant win for T1. This time it was Mun ‘Oner’ Hyeon-jun with his Xin Zhao that led the way for T1. He racked up 10 kills and Hanhwa Life Esports were flabbergasted to keep up with him. Peyz, similarly, had another great game on Aphelios showing that he is slowly but surely finding his groove with the championship squad.
Game 3 and 4 was when Hanhwa Life Esports finally found some rhythm in the series. The two games ended up being 30 minute plus slugfests in which the Hanhwa boys looked alot more comfortable. Kim ‘Zeka’ Geon-woo tallied an impressive 31 kills across both of their wins in the series.
In the deciding Game 5, T1 were simply dominant as they took the win with a scoreline of 23-1. The final game which was expected to be much closer just went T1’s way from every angle. The draft was sublime and T1 played to their strengths anew as they secure a championship to end the year on a high.
Peyz secured the Finals MVP at KeSPA Cup 2025 while Gumayusi struggled for Hanhwa Life Esports.
