The lone Filipino player, Kelly ‘shirazi’ Jaundian, lead her Hong Kong based squad Nova Esports to their first win against South Korean bet Ninetails at the VALORANT Game Changers Championship 2025 in Seoul’ South Korea. It was a dominant 2-0 performance all around for Nova Esports but it was shirazi who stole the spotlight with highlight plays all around.

Map 1 of the series went to Ninetails’s pick, Bind. But Nova Esports manage to stela the Pistol round away from Ninetails for the early advantage. Good entries from Park ‘322’ Min-ju’s Veto allowed the Koreans to stabilize and comeback in the first half of the map. In the 2nd half, Nova Esports manage to dominate on their attacking side only allowing the Koreans one point. Good holds from shirazi’s Deadlock and clutches from Wang ‘icebox’ Wenwen were key in the Nova Esports, Map 1 victory.

Map 2 was on Nova Esports’s pick Haven. Ninetails managed another excellent go in the 1st half and picking up the Pistol round this time around. Jeong ‘FullMoon’ Ye-jin’s play with her Killjoy was topnotch all around grabbing a grand total of 20 kills by the game ended for the hometown heroes. But just like Map 1, the second half was once again Nova Esports all the way. Shirazi’s Viper was an absolute menace all around grabbing 21 kills, 4 of them being the crucial first kills of the round. Nova Esports won 9 out of 10 rounds in the 2nd half to easily secure a sweep over the Koreans.

Nova Esports will face European squad GT Gozen for their next match up at the VALORANT Gamechangers Championship 2025. The other Filipino reps for the tounrament, Xipto Esports, will be making their debut against another European team Karmine Corp GC.
