Dota 2 has been around for roughly 12 years now, and the game has never had a proper collaboration until now. The Monster Hunter and Dota 2 collaboration is here, and we never saw it coming, but fans are happy all the same. The surprise collab comes with free cosmetics, new mechanics, and even pets!

This three-month-long event for Dota 2 celebrates Capcom’s beloved action game with a hunting and crafting mechanic. This allows players to complete quests in their games and eventually craft the many freebies available.

There are currently six Monster Hunter-themed sets, all available for free to players who are willing to grind. There’s also an adorable Palico courier and a Poogie Effigy pet, both surprisingly free. Here’s a list of all the sets, along with the hero they are for.

  • Odogaron Armor for Sniper
  • Palico Disguise Bomb Unit for Techies
  • Rathalos Armor for Dragon Knight
  • Kirin Armor for Anti-Mage
  • Bone Armor for Beastmaster
  • Zinogre Armor for Windranger

Players can also purchase the Expedition Pack for Php 840. It’s basically an event pass that instantly unlocks the base version of the free sets. The Expedition Pack also provides bonus cosmetics for the veteran hunter, such as a Rathalos Elder Dragon Form for Dragon Knight and a Bullfango for Beastmaster’s Wild Boar. It also comes with Music Packs, Bonus Crafting material, and sprays.

Almost every collab item, apart from the Expedition Pack cosmetics, can be grinded for free. Players can just play games to accrue XP to level up their Hunter Rank.

  • Win Match = 800 XP
  • Lose Match = 300 XP
  • Win Turbo Match = 500 XP
  • Lose Turbo Match = 200 XP

Leveling up their Hunter Rank and completing their in-game Hunts will allow players to eventually craft all the cosmetics.

The event runs from November 11, 2025, to February 6, 2026.
