In the second series of the day it was a Lower Bracket elimination match between ONIC Philippines and TNC Pro Team. Both of these teams have much to prove in the MPL PH Season 16 Playoffs and the Filipino scene in general. It’s been quite the draught for TNC Pro Team as the last time they placed Top 4 was way back in Season 9. Now they are finally back and surely won’t let go of this high just quite yet. On the flip side of the match up, ONIC Philippines has definitely seen better days and they want to reclaim the swag that comes with being a defending M-series champ. TNC Pro Team parade the King of the Junglers in Justine ‘Zaida’ Palma who garnered the highest kill total in the regular season of MPL PH Season 16. Onic PH’s touted King of the Jungle, King ‘K1NGKONG’ Perez so this Lower Bracket will be as explosive as they get.

Game 1 had the Jungler match-up with Zaida on the Joy and K1NGKONG on the Yi Sun-shin. It was a slow start to kick off the series with First Blood only coming in at the four minute mark. The early deadlock was taken advantage by Onic and K1NGKONG lead in gold and experience for much of the early game. Frinz ‘Super Frinz’ Ramirez’s Selena Abyssal Arrows were just on point for the Onic squad. TNC Pro Team were coralled in their base early and Onic take Game 1.

TNC Pro Team changed things up for Game 2 with a Bane for Frederic Benedict ‘bennyqt’ Gonzalez and yet another Lunox game for Lance ‘LanceCy’ Cunanan. But the Turtles were secured by TNC Pro Team behind Zaida’s Lancelot. as they show signs of life. Zaida managed a crucial Lord take and kill on K1NGKONG to right the ship for TNC with the equalizer.

Game 3 continued to be a tightly contested duel between TNC Pro Team and Onic PH. TNC Pro Team finally pulled out the Baxia for Joshua ‘Ch4knu’ Mangilog. The activity of Ch4knu all over the map helped the Phoenix Army secure the Lord at the 10 minute mark. With Bennyqt’s X.Borg and Ch4knu just bruising their way for TNC Pro Team as they win Game 3 quite convincingly.

Game 4 was yet another curveball for Onic PH with a Gatotkaca for Jann ‘Kirk’ Gatotkaca. TNC Pro Team were blindsided by the pick alongside Borris ‘Brusko’ Parro’s Chou to secure an 8k gold lead at the eight minute mark. Brusko’s initiations and kicks for Onic were picture perfect as he earned a well-deserved MVP to force the rubber match.

In Game 5 with their tournament lives on the line Grant ‘Kelra’ Pilas Harith was the weapon of choice for ONIC Philippines while TNC Pro Team unleashed Ch4knu’s Grock. TNC Pro Team had a good early game with Zaida’s Lancelot and never looked back as they eliminate the former world champions.
