With only four teams remaining in the MPL PH Season 16 Playoffs, only the best of the best remain as they vie for the coveted M7 World Championships slot at Jakarta, Indonesia. The first series was the Upper Bracket bout two crowd favorites in Team Liquid PH and Aurora with the first Grand Finals and M7 slot at stake. Aurora proved why they were the number one seed in the season as they dismantle Team Liquid PH 3-1.

The Karl ‘KarlTzy’ Nepomuceno-Kiel ‘Oheb’ Soriano combo of Team Liquid PH staked their pride against the Jonard ‘Demonkite’ Caranto and Edward ‘Edward’ Dapadap powered Aurora offense. The Lancelot was highly effective in Day 2 of the Playoffs and Rora took it for Demonkite. On the flip side it was also the Yi Sun-shin which was the other dominant jungler of the tournament and Team Liquid PH snapped it up for KarlTzy. But in the super star match up between the two teams it was Alston ‘Sanji’ Pabico with his Selena who provided the vision and the crowd control in the early game. But Rora held the high ground and the Lancelot wins the Yi Sun-shin matchup again with Demonkite taking MVP honors.
In Game 2, it was a breath of fresh air as neither Lancelot nor Yi Sun-shin was allowed to be played in this MPL PH Season 16 Playoffs. Jan ‘Domengkite’ Delmundo lead the game in gold very early on. Aurora definitely looked more loose and confident after their comeback win. But the confidence was their undoing as Sanji’s Zhuxin capitalized and lead the counter comeback for Team Liquid PH to equalize the series.
Game 3, the Aurora lightshow was in full display. Kenneth ‘Yue’ Tadeo is known to be one of the best Yve players in the entire Mobile Legends scene and he showed us why. With Demonkite’s Fredrinn and Edward’s Lapu-lapu in charge of the chaos, Team Liquid PH could not keep up with the Northern Lights squad. Yue picked up the MVP with eight kills and 12 assists while not dying a single time in Game 3.
With the M7 slot in grasp, Aurora once again went with the Yve for Yue while they also took out the surprise Ixia for Domengkite. Yue and Demonkite dictated a good early game for Rora as they won the Turtle objectives. A key highlight in the game was definitely a Maniac from the forgotten Ixia with Domengkite at the 10 minute mark. Aurora rode the momentum as they finish off Team Liquid PH in four games.
